Privacy policy

Updated at: 2026-09-22.

At GoMon Reliable uptime monitoring, accessible from our website and platform, one of our core values is the protection and privacy of our users' infrastructure and personal data. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, how we process it, and your rights under global data regulations (including GDPR).

1. Information We Collect and Account Types

The scope of data collection depends directly on your tier of service and configuration requirements:

  • Free Accounts: For basic infrastructure tracking, we collect minimal operational attributes including your name, corporate or personal email address, and dashboard settings. We also record raw transaction volumes to protect our node clusters from fair use violations.
  • Paid Subscriptions: Users upgrading to premium metrics provide expanded corporate identifiers, billing physical addresses, corporate tax numbers (e.g., VAT codes), and localized alert routing configurations (such as verified phone numbers for SMS infrastructure alerts).
  • Financial Transactions: Payment tokens are securely managed via encrypted external financial gateways. GoMon never caches, logs, or stores raw credit card details or bank routing secrets on our private storage networks.
  • Monitored Infrastructure Data: To perform availability verification, our system logs your monitored target URLs, server hostnames, IP addresses, and response headers. This operational metadata is exclusively used to calculate performance logs and compile status pages.

2. Third-Party Monitoring Integrations

If you choose to direct your system incident dispatches to external platforms (such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, PagerDuty, or Twilio), we pass required incident logs via specialized API webhooks. GoMon is not responsible for the privacy structures deployed by these third-party platforms. We advise checking their individual privacy policies before creating data pathways.

3. How We Use Your Infrastructure Data

We process account parameters and ping responses for precise system maintenance tasks, including to:

  • Execute scheduled availability sweeps, heartbeat checks, and response timing assessments.
  • Deliver rapid incident warnings across your selected communications channels (SMS, Webhook, Email).
  • Compile and publicize status pages explicitly toggled "public" by account managers.
  • Oversee, balance, and distribute connection workloads across global check node grids.
  • Generate standard invoices, subscription renewals, and administrative operational notifications.

4. Data Retention, Downgrades, and Deletion

We strictly regulate data storage terms to isolate system vulnerabilities and limit unnecessary tracking:

  • Active Status Logs: Raw request/response data points and performance records are archived throughout the lifecycle of your monitor configurations up to the limits specified by your plan tier.
  • Downgrades: When dropping from a Paid Subscription to a Free Account, advanced metrics (such as historical minute-by-minute response graphs, extensive notification logs, and customized status page structures) may be instantly and permanently pruned to stay within the lower resource thresholds of Free Accounts.
  • Account Deletion: Upon formal profile erasure requests, structural account tags and target records are entirely wiped from our primary production databases within standard legal timelines. Historical invoices are retained separate from active platform data in alignment with statutory fiscal record retention guidelines.

5. Cookies and Technical Tracking

GoMon deploys functional cookie tokens to maintain secure dashboard sessions, confirm authentication tokens, and preserve dashboard state selections (such as dark mode preferences or workspace filtering). These tokens do not build user profiles across external web applications.

6. GDPR Rights for European Infrastructures

In accordance with European data management directives, every registered system manager holds absolute ownership rights over their private footprint. You retain the right to:

  • Access: Review complete record indices held on our hosting infrastructure.
  • Rectify: Modify incorrect contact addresses or device notification channels immediately.
  • Erase ("Right to be Forgotten"): Order full decommissioning and deletion of active monitoring data.
  • Restrict Processing: Halt promotional metrics processing while preserving operational notification loops.
  • Portability: Request clean exports of uptime historical logs in standard structured text formats.

7. Platform Infrastructure Security

We deploy robust cryptographic protocols to keep connection assets and API secret tokens highly isolated. However, because no global web system is entirely immune to sophisticated security exploits, the management of robust account access keys remains a crucial, shared operational responsibility.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

GoMon preserves the right to adjust this Privacy Policy to ensure alignment with changing privacy legal standards. Material structural changes to our data management rules will be flagged directly inside your user dashboard or sent via email broadcast.
