Terms of service

Updated at: 2026-09-22.

Welcome to GoMon Reliable uptime monitoring. By accessing or using our website, synthetic monitoring software, alerting systems, and online uptime tools (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before creating monitors or connecting integrations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or launching any monitoring agent, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter into this agreement. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, corporation, or entity, that organization accepts these Terms.

2. Description of Uptime Services

GoMon operates automated infrastructure checking tools that verify website availability, server response times, SSL certificate expirations, and API functionality. GoMon reserves the right to modify check frequencies, monitoring locations, and integration hooks at any time.

3. Account Types: Free Accounts vs. Paid Subscriptions

We provide two distinct tiers of accessibility for our tracking platforms:

  • Free Accounts: GoMon offers basic features at no charge ("Free Account"). Free Accounts are subject to strict functional boundaries, including coarser check intervals (e.g., 5-minute or 10-minute intervals), fewer monitored targets, limited historical log retention, and restricted alert channels (e.g., email notification only). We reserve the right to limit or suspend Free Accounts at our discretion.
  • Paid Subscriptions: Users can upgrade to a "Paid Subscription" to unlock premium capabilities, including high-frequency checks (e.g., 30-second or 1-minute intervals), SMS/Webhook/Slack alerts, advanced status pages, multi-region validation, and extended data logging.

4. Acceptable Use and Monitoring Targets

You agree to deploy our uptime checks solely against digital assets, servers, and networks that **you own, legally control, or have explicit permission to monitor**. You are strictly prohibited from:

  • Using GoMon to orchestrate Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) actions, excessive server hammering, or scraping via excessive verification requests.
  • Attempting to bypass rate-limiting metrics or deploying scripts to manipulate monitoring loops.
  • Setting up notification paths meant to spam third-party destinations.

5. Fees, Invoicing, and Downgrades

The following provisions govern users holding Paid Subscriptions:

  • Billing Cycle: Premium plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual schedule.
  • Cancellations and Downgrades: If you cancel a Paid Subscription or fall back to a Free Account tier, your premium checks will stop at the close of the current paid billing cycle. GoMon is not liable for data loss, historical log deletions, or unreceived downtime warnings that result from an account downgrade.
  • Refund Policies: Payments are non-refundable for partially completed billing periods, except where strictly mandated by localized consumer legislation.

6. Crucial Alerting and Downtime Disclaimer

GoMon strives to achieve near-perfect operational visibility, but uptime monitoring is technically complex and relies on global internet routing, third-party carrier networks, and mobile networks. **GoMon provides no warranty or guarantee that:**

  • Every individual server outage or connection incident will be detected or reported instantly.
  • Alert notifications via SMS, email, webhook, or external integrations will arrive without latency, blockages, or failure.
  • False-positive reports will never occur due to global network splits or isolated provider issues.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the absolute maximum extent permitted under applicable legislation, GoMon and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes, without limitation, **loss of business revenue, customer churn, operational downtime expenses, developer remediation costs, or corporate reputation damage** caused by unnotified site crashes, delayed alerts, or software inaccuracies.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and all operational relationships with GoMon shall be governed by, and interpreted in compliance with, the laws of the Netherlands. Any claims or conflicts will be settled exclusively within the authorized courts of the region where GoMon is officially registered.
